‘Playing at the Borders’
Flight of the Albatross is a story written for refugee children, that can be enjoyed by all. It is written with the simple aim to bring renewed magic and hope, into their lives.
The story is part of a project under development called ‘Playing at the Borders’ which aims to develop spaces and resources for refugee children, to be able to express themselves; through play and creative art workshops during their journey.
The story is set in Calais to help children currently in this area to reclaim the land as part of their childhood and not a place which represents only hardship and struggle. If you know any child who would love this story, is available here for download.
If you would like to submit a story for us to take to the children, please get in touch using the form below.
